Xieng Khouang Provincial Youth Union visits and extends New Year greetings to Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

Attending the program were comrades: Bua-ngan Hum-xay-nha-phom – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee of Xieng Khouang; Si-phon-xay Thip-da-la - Secretary of the Xieng Khouang Provincial Youth Union; along with representatives of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and relevant agencies and units.

Over the past period, building on the foundation of the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, meticulously nurtured by generations of leaders of the two Parties and two countries, the youth of Xieng Khouang and Nghe An provinces have jointly carried out many meaningful activities, contributing to preserving and promoting that special relationship.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Siphonxay Thip-da-la – Secretary of the Xieng Khouang Provincial Youth Union – expressed his emotion and acknowledged the affection and concern that the youth of Nghe An have shown for Xieng Khouang.

The comrade emphasized that every year, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union proactively coordinates and organizes exchanges between outstanding youth groups and Lao students to share experiences in youth union work. At the same time, they pay attention to and care for Lao students through cultural and artistic exchanges, Vietnamese public speaking competitions, and visits to wish them a Happy Bunpimay New Year.

In particular, during the 2025 Green Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, the international volunteer team from Vinh University, with nearly 30 students, directly went to Xieng Khouang province to teach Vietnamese and assist people in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, leaving a positive impression on the local government and people.

In response, Comrade Ho Phuc Hai – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union – stated that in 2025, along with the rest of the country, Nghe An province will officially implement the two-tiered local government model, operational from July 1, 2025. In this context, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in the province will continue to be strengthened and consolidated, with 142 affiliated Youth Union branches, ensuring smooth and effective operation.

Following the directives of the Central Youth Union and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Youth Union has implemented three major movements and three accompanying programs for young people, creating an environment for education and training while supporting union members and young people in their studies, entrepreneurship, career development, and overall development.

Based on that foundation, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union always values ​​and clearly defines the responsibility of young people in preserving and fostering the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

In the coming period, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union hopes to continue strengthening exchange activities, learning, and sharing experiences in youth union work, youth movements, and youth economic development models between Nghe An and Xieng Khouang provinces. This will contribute to deepening the solidarity and friendship between the youth of both sides.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Comrade Ho Phuc Hai respectfully thanked the Xieng Khouang Provincial Youth Union for their kind sentiments towards the cadres, members, and youth of Nghe An. He also wished for the cooperative and close relationship between the youth unions of the two provinces to become even stronger and more developed.
