Khammouane Province (Laos) wishes Nghe An Province a Happy New Year

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 17, a working delegation from Khammouane province led by Comrade Phomma Phanthalangsi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board visited and extended New Year greetings to Nghe An province.

Also attending were representatives of the Lao Fatherland Front for National Construction in Khammouane province, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Khammouane province.

Welcoming and receiving the delegation, on the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, comrade Phomma Phanthalangsi thanked Nghe An province for the warm and thoughtful reception and informed about some highlights in various fields of Kham Muon in recent times.

In 2016, Khammouane achieved achievements in many fields, national defense and security were stable, the economy and society developed quite well, the growth rate reached 7.95%, the average income per capita reached 1,922 USD/year. The province also organized the implementation of the resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Khammouane Provincial Party Congress.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017, the Deputy Secretary of the Kham Muon Provincial Party Committee sent his best wishes to the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province, wishing the solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, the two States in general and the two provinces of Nghe An - Kham Muon in particular to be forever green and sustainable.

Thanking the province for its affection for Nghe An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son shared his joy and said that this year Nghe An celebrated Tet in an exciting atmosphere.

Although 2016 faced many difficulties, the province made every effort, resulting in 25/27 socio-economic targets being achieved and exceeded, the growth rate was 7.5%, the highest compared to recent years, the budget revenue reached 11,005 billion/plan of 10,200 billion, the poverty rate decreased to 9.5%. Nghe An continued to pay attention to Tet care for the poor, ensuring that culture and society had many advances, national defense and security were maintained, and continued to maintain and develop cooperative and friendly relations with the provinces of Laos.
