The Nghe An Provincial Party Committee supports people affected by Typhoon No. 3.
On the morning of September 11th, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee organized a fundraising event to support people affected by Typhoon No. 3.

Attending the program were: Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders, officials, and specialists of the Party Committees, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Provincial Inspection Committee.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the delegates observed a minute of silence in memory of the officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives while on rescue and relief duty, and the people who died as a result of Typhoon No. 3 in recent days.

Typhoon No. 3, internationally named Yagi, was the strongest typhoon in the East Sea in the past 30 years and on land in Vietnam in the past 70 years, making a direct landfall in the Northern region; it intensified irregularly; it lingered on land for a long time; and its affected area was very wide.
The storm's circulation caused very heavy rain and severe flooding; in some places, flood levels exceeded the highest in history; landslides, flash floods, and mudslides occurred in many localities, causing extremely heavy losses of life and property for both the people and the State.


As of the morning of September 11th, Typhoon No. 3 and its remnants had caused over 200 deaths and disappearances in the northern provinces. Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen... were among the provinces most severely affected.
Flood warnings at alert level have been issued for many major rivers, posing a risk to dikes and embankments. Authorities are working tirelessly, racing against time to ensure the safety of the people.
According to the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control, Typhoon No. 3 has weakened into a tropical depression and is gradually dissipating over the Northwest region. However, the remnants of the typhoon will continue to cause heavy rain until the end of September 11th in the northern provinces, especially the Northwest region.

In response to the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3, General Secretary and President To Lam called for continued strong promotion of "national solidarity and brotherly love" to provide the highest, fastest, and most timely support directly to families who suffered losses of life and property due to the natural disaster.

Responding to the call of the General Secretary and President, and the launching ceremony of the campaign to support the people by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and upholding the spirit of "mutual support" and "helping those in need," the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders, officials, and specialists of the advisory and support agencies of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee have donated nearly 200 million VND to support the people in the northern provinces affected by Typhoon No. 3 and its remnants.

In response to the immense damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 and the resulting floods in the northern provinces, on September 10th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province called on all levels of Party committees, government agencies, organizations, cadres, Party members, civil servants, armed forces personnel, all strata of the people, religious organizations, social organizations, businesses, and individuals in the province to actively support the people of the northern provinces in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster with their compassionate hearts.
