Love needs a fourth look…
Lovers need a fourth glance before Cupid knocks on their hearts. That's the result of a recent American study. Cupid's arrow usually arrives slowly, not as quickly as you might think.

Researchers at Hamilton College (USA) showed images of various people's faces to a group of young men and women. A brain-monitoring device connected to the projection screen measured the attractiveness of each image as the participants rated it. The images were then shown a second time for participants to rate which image they found more attractive. Attractiveness increased on the third rating and peaked on the fourth. The projector revealed behaviors that arose around the pleasure-controlling center in the brain.
“What’s most surprising for people is that they find themselves attracted to someone after several encounters, even if that person wasn’t initially attractive,” says psychologist Dr. Ravi Thiruchselvam at Hamilton College. “Cupid’s arrow is often slow to strike. It can be attributed to a gradual shift due to the repeated nature of that attraction.”
