The Kawun Rotary Organization (South Korea) donated $50,000 to the "For Children's Hearts" program.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 20th,Kawun Rotary (South Korea) collaborated withThe Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology organized the program "For the Hearts of Children".

Attending, pRepresenting the Kawun Rotary organization were Ms. An Su Chong - President of the Kawun Rotary organization, and Mr. Lee Jong Deuk - President of the Vinh City Scholarship Fund of Namyangju City, South Korea.

Representing the provincial leadership was Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Nam, Principal of the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology, delivered a welcoming speech to the delegation.

Vinh City and Namyangju City (South Korea) have been sister cities for over 10 years. Through this relationship, the Rotary organization and the Namyangju City Scholarship Fund have carried out many meaningful activities to help underprivileged children, such as: surgeries for congenital heart defects and cleft palates, donating bicycles, and increasing scholarships.

Kawun Rotary is a non-profit cooperative organization that, through voluntary donations from businesses and philanthropists, implements humanitarian projects and programs to improve public health, support education, and alleviate poverty in various countries.

On this occasion, the Kawun Rotary organization provided $50,000 to support heart surgery and presented 30 gifts to children with congenital heart defects in Nghe An province.

Ms. An Su Chong, Chairwoman of Kawun Rotary, presented a donation of USD 50,000 to the representative of the Nghe An Provincial Children's Protection Fund.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Le Xuan Dai presented the Certificate of Commendation and the Certificate of Recognition from the Provincial People's Committee to the Kawun Rotary Club.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai expressed his gratitude for the extremely meaningful work of the Kawun Rotary organization.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the charitable activities of Korean organizations towards Nghe An province in recent years. He pledged to direct and support coordination with the Provincial Children's Aid Fund to effectively implement the financial support project. He expressed his hope that the Kawun Rotary Club and the Namyangju City Scholarship Fund of Korea would continue to provide assistance to poor children in the province in the future.

On this occasion, the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology launched the Tree Planting Festival and Green Sunday, and members of the Kawun Rotary Club delegation also planted commemorative trees in the school grounds.
