Border guard task force in Nghe An province assists Mong ethnic minority people in building a pedestrian bridge over streams and ravines that were swept away by floods.
On June 29th, the Muong Long Task Force of the Tri Le Border Guard Station, in coordination with the people of Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, organized the construction of a pedestrian bridge across the Huoi Ta stream on the only road leading to Muong Long village, which had been swept away by floods a month ago.
The Muong Long village currently has 137 households, all of whom are Mong ethnic people. From the center of Tri Le commune, to reach this Mong village, one must travel along a 25 km single-lane road, of which only 13 km is paved, over 4 km is concrete, and the rest is a dirt road with many steep, slippery, and muddy slopes, only accessible by motorbike.

Previously, there was a wooden bridge across the Huoi Ta stream on this route for people to travel, but it was swept away by floods on May 29, 2025.

Completing the bridge was a significant effort given the complex terrain and difficult transportation conditions, especially during the rainy season.
The head of Muong Long village, Mr. Va Ba Mai, said: "The villagers would like to express their gratitude to the officers and soldiers of the Tri Le Border Guard Post, the Muong Long Task Force, and all the forces who, despite the difficulties and hardships, coordinated with the people to build the community bridge across the Huoi Ta stream."
