Shining the power of community, spreading the spirit of "Party's will, people's heart"
The National Great Unity Day has become an occasion for every Nghe An resident, whether in urban or rural areas, to turn to their roots, share and join together in community activities.

November is not only a time of the year, but for Vietnamese people, it is also the time when the tradition of “national unity” is most strongly awakened. Whether far away or busy with work, everyone wants to return and join in the Great Unity Festival - where the community gathers, where village and neighborhood love is rekindled; where the deep values of community culture continue to be extended through each generation.
After more than 20 years of organization, the National Great Unity Day has not only become an annual activity, but has also been elevated to a special cultural and political symbol, closely associated with the 95-year history of formation and development of the Vietnam National United Front (now the Vietnam Fatherland Front).

The Great Unity Day 2025 in Nghe An took place in an innovative atmosphere, suitable for the practice of two-level local government, most clearly demonstrated in the closeness, closeness and companionship of the Front's cadres with the people.
Comrade Nguyen Tien Sang - Head of the Front Work Committee of Village 1, Anh Son Dong Commune shared: “The highlight of this year's festival is the spirit of "being close to the people, close to the people, for the people". After working hours, Front officials and socio-political organizations directly go to each residential area to guide, support and participate with the people. Thanks to that, all activities of the festival become practical, exciting and have a lot of influence".
In village 1, as well as in all villages, hamlets, and hamlets in the province, there is the presence of leaders at all levels in an atmosphere of reunion, solidarity, and attachment between the Party and the people. Right in each house, each football field, and cultural house, the spirit of "Party's will, people's heart" is naturally and closely connected and deeply permeates the community's awareness.
Mr. Phan Cong Tram - a resident of village 1 emotionally shared:“The festival is truly meaningful. Regardless of cadres or civilians, old or young, whoever has any talent, everyone contributes. Even the elderly who usually stay at home, these days also go to the volleyball court to cheer and watch the performance. Cadres, civil servants, and workers all try to arrange to come together in a great solidarity block.
The festival is also an opportunity for each residential area to look back on the results of a year of joint efforts and hearts. In Van Quang hamlet, Thuan Trung commune, the joy is even more complete when the community looks back at the clear changes: The residential area is recognized as "Solidarity, Peace"; many self-management models are effective; the material and spiritual life of the people is improved; social security work is promoted with the joint support of poor and disadvantaged households and contributions to people in disaster areas.

Sharing the joy with the people, comrade Ho Le Ngoc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee - emphasized: "To be united, each collective, each cadre, party member and people must act together for the common goal: Building a developed homeland, improving people's lives". That is also the message that the people of Van Quang absorbed, to remind themselves to continue to unite and strive to move forward.
Across the province, the Great Unity Day 2025 was held simultaneously in 100% of residential areas, from urban areas to remote villages, mountainous areas, and border areas. Although the scale was different, the general spirit was still solemn, economical, and imbued with identity. Cultural activities, sports, and folk games were organized in a rich and attractive manner, creating an exciting and cohesive atmosphere. People made their own art props, prepared their own playgrounds, and decorated the festival space, all of which were imbued with the "homegrown, garden-grown" characteristics of Nghe people.
Many places organize "Solidarity Meals", meals that not only strengthen family ties but also arouse sharing and responsibility towards the community in the true spirit: Festival of joy, festival of happiness, festival of solidarity.
In parallel with the festival, comrade Hoang Thi Thanh Minh - Head of the Propaganda and Social Work Department, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said: Many localities have implemented practical activities towards the people, for the people, such as visiting and encouraging policy families, meritorious people, veteran revolutionary cadres; caring for and supporting the poor, people in difficult circumstances; giving gifts and "Great Unity" houses; starting and completing many public works to serve people's lives.
Community self-management models, such as environmental protection, security and order maintenance, and socio-economic development, continue to be introduced, creating clear changes in people's lives and awareness.
Responding to the Great Unity Day, localities in the province launched a movement to clean up village roads and alleys, create green - clean - beautiful landscapes and form a civilized lifestyle. The festival is also a space to introduce products of craft villages, agriculture, OCOP, promote tourism, and connect economic and cultural development right from the grassroots.
This is also an opportunity to evaluate the emulation movement, honor typical examples and launch activities to welcome the 16th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress and the 14th Party Congress, contributing to spreading the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", arousing the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening and the will to rise up in all classes of people.
The spirit of great solidarity is not only expressed through the "Great National Unity" festival but is a precious tradition that has been forged over the past 95 years under the leadership of the Party and the gathering and consolidation of the National United Front (now the Vietnam Fatherland Front), becoming the core value that creates Vietnam's strength in revolutionary periods.
It is not only a precious spiritual heritage but also a practical foundation, directly contributing to the outstanding achievements of the country and Nghe An province on the journey of innovation and development.
Nghe An is a locality with diverse terrain: plains, mountains, islands; large population, many ethnic groups, religions; is the common homeland of millions of people living, working, studying in their homeland and in all parts of the country as well as more than 110 countries around the world.
The tradition of "comradely love and fellow countrymen's solidarity" has become an invaluable resource for the Party, government and people to overcome difficulties and develop rapidly and sustainably; it is a foundation of consensus of decisive significance for effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns bearing the mark of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
From that solidarity resource, in the past 5 years, the whole province has supported nearly 875 thousand poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households with a total resource of more than 5,805 billion VND, contributing to strengthening social security right from the grassroots. Nghe An also became a bright spot nationwide when it completed 20,802 houses ahead of schedule in the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025", and was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the Party and State.
The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" continues to spread strongly, contributing to bringing 275/362 communes to new rural standards; 102 communes to advanced standards and 16 communes to model standards before the implementation of 2-level local government...
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said: Currently, the whole country in general and Nghe An in particular are entering a new development stage with many intertwined opportunities and challenges. In that context, the requirement is to elevate the great national unity into a fundamental strategy, institutionalized in the Documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
This is not only a political task, but also the "key" to realizing the aspiration of making Nghe An a fairly developed province with national growth in the new era.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee emphasized: The strength of solidarity is not only the crystallization of tradition, but also an important endogenous driving force for the future. From the results of today's Great Solidarity Festival, it can be seen that when people are listened to, participated in and the spirit of community cohesion is aroused, the strength of the great national solidarity bloc is multiplied, becoming a particularly important resource for Nghe An to develop rapidly, comprehensively and sustainably in the new period./.
