Toc Tien removes matching tattoos with her ex-boyfriend that she got 10 years ago.
The singer shared the process of removing the tattoo on her finger after a decade, explaining why it was no longer suitable and describing the pain as "10-20 times more intense than getting the tattoo."
Singer Toc Tien recently shared a video documenting the process of removing a tattoo from her hand, revealing that it was a matching tattoo with her ex-boyfriend that had been there for over 10 years. She stated that the decision stemmed from the fact that the tattoo no longer aligned with her current artistic direction.

A decision after a decade
In a video posted on her personal page, Toc Tien explained why she waited over a year before continuing the tattoo removal process. "This is the fourth time I've had my tattoo removed; the last time was in July 2024. There are two reasons why it took me over a year to decide to remove my tattoo again. Firstly, because I only participated in the 'Beautiful Sister' competition last July, so I was very busy. Secondly, I'm a coward because I'm afraid of the pain," she shared.
The singer emphasized that the tattoo on her finger caused some inconvenience as she expanded her artistic career. She also described the experience as very painful: "The truth is, getting a tattoo on your finger hurts a bit, but removing a tattoo on your finger hurts 10-20 times more."
Based on her own experience, Toc Tien offers this advice: "A sincere piece of advice is not to get matching tattoos with your lover, or if you do, get them in a place where they can be removed without pain. In this world, the pain of tattoo removal is worse than heartbreak."

These 'ink stains' bear a personal mark.
Tóc Tiên is known for her distinctive style and has many meaningful tattoos. Each tattoo is associated with a story or an important milestone in her life.
Besides the recently removed matching tattoos, she also has other tattoos such as:
- Dad's initials:The three letters are on the inside of the index finger of the left hand.
- "Be yourself":The inscription on her left wrist reminds her to always be herself.
- The symbol Pi (π):Next to the phrase "Be yourself," there's a shape resembling two T's, the initials of her name.
- "What doesn't kill me makes me stronger":The inscription on the left side means, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
- "It's choice not chance that determines your destiny":The inscription along the right side reads, "Your own choices determine your destiny."
These tattoos are seen as reminders and encouragement for Toc Tien during difficult times, helping her to live more positively and strive harder.
