By 2018, Vietnam will be flooded with industrial robots.
According to survey data from the International Robotics Association in February 2016, by 2018, Vietnam will have 1.3 million industrial robots in operation, meeting the growing trend of automation.
On the morning of October 6th, Universal Robots (UR) announced its expansion plans into the Vietnamese market. This marks UR's sixth market in Southeast Asia. UR's investment in this Asia-Pacific market aims to meet the growing demand for industrial automation in the region.
Upon entering the Vietnamese market, UR will have two official distributors: Tien Phong Technology Joint Stock Company and Servo Dynamisc Engineering Co., Ltd. These two companies will serve as both distributors and training centers for the operation and maintenance of UR's robotic products.

Universal Robots has 200 distributors in 50 countries worldwide. UR has extensive experience and expertise in the field of flexible automation. Currently, UR has three products on the market: UR3, UR5, and UR10. Compared to other products on the market, UR has many outstanding advantages such as compactness, convenience, and compatibility with various production lines. Different UR models have different working methods and weight capacities. For example, the UR10 has a maximum lifting capacity of 10kg.
In addition, UR representatives affirmed that UR is very suitable for many production models in Vietnam. UR also committed to adjusting costs down to the most appropriate level, meeting the development needs of the domestic manufacturing industry, which has been growing at an average rate of 10% over the past four years.
