Evening of February 3rd: Awarding of the 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Prize in 2025.
On the evening of February 3rd, at the Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, celebrating the Party, the Spring Festival, the nation, and welcoming the New Year of the Horse 2026, the Central Organizing Committee, in coordination with the Communist Magazine, the Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists Association, organized the Ceremony to honor outstanding Party branch secretaries and announce and present the 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in 2025.

The 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award in 2025 was launched on January 20, 2025, at the closing ceremony and awarding of the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Award. By the deadline for submissions, the Award's Standing Committee (Communist Magazine) had received a total of 2,296 entries. These included 643 print articles, 866 online articles, 464 television programs, 230 radio programs, and 93 photojournalism entries.
The final judging panel selected the best works and submitted them to the Steering Committee of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award for a decision on awarding 6 A prizes, 13 B prizes, 18 C prizes, 10 thematic prizes, and 35 consolation prizes. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Award also submitted to the Steering Committee for a decision on commending 15 collectives, including propaganda and mass mobilization departments, Party committee organizing committees, press agencies, and journalists' associations, for their outstanding achievements in organizing and implementing the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award at the local and unit levels.
The entries for the 2025 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award from central and local press agencies continued to be diverse in subject matter and genre. Most works closely followed pressing issues, prominent events, and key tasks of the political system and the country, such as the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2nd), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification; the situation and results of innovation and the determination to complete the 10-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2030; and the efforts of the entire political system to create breakthroughs in achieving socio-economic targets in 2025, the year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2020-2025.
A new feature in the content of journalistic works participating in the 2025 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award is the vivid and timely reflection of the Party's political events and activities, such as: the organization of soliciting feedback on the documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the implementation of some new guiding principles of General Secretary To Lam on: the era of national progress; combating waste; strengthening Party building and rectification; streamlining organizational structures and reducing personnel; summarizing 40 years of reform, and preparing for Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party… Many works, after being published or broadcast, have attracted the attention of a large number of the public and readers.
A new feature in organizing the awards ceremony is combining it with the ceremony to honor and reward 96 outstanding Party branch secretaries nationwide (corresponding to the 96th anniversary of the Party's founding).
The ceremony honoring outstanding Party branch secretaries and awarding the 10th Golden Hammer and Sickle Prize demonstrates that the work of Party building and rectification, and building the political system, is increasingly spreading widely among cadres, Party members, and the people, contributing to fostering confidence in the Party's leadership over the nation's revolutionary cause.
