During her revolutionary participation and work in the locality, Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh held the following positions: Secretary of the Party Committee of Ben Thanh Ward (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City); Director of the People's Procuracy of District 1 (Ho Chi Minh City), Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union; Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union. After that, she was transferred to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Population and Children Committee in Hanoi.
In April 2006, at the 10th National Party Congress (term 2006-2010), Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh was elected as an alternate member of the 10th Central Committee.
Since October 2007, she has held the position of Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union.
In May 2009, according to the Politburo's decision on personnel transfer, she became Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, in charge of grassroots Party work.
