(Baonghean.vn)- After nearly 3 months of raising and caring, people in Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) are now harvesting the first shrimp crop, with a yield of 3.5 tons/ha.

Quynh Luu is the locality with the largest shrimp farming area in the province with 400 hectares, concentrated in the communes of Quynh Bang, Quynh Minh, Quynh Thanh, An Hoa... Like previous years, after favorable weather, farmers began to treat ponds and purchase machinery and equipment to serve the shrimp farming process. In particular, many households have applied technical advances such as using heat-resistant roofs, building separate water supply and drainage pond systems, and using industrial feed that meets standards to prepare for the shrimp farming season.

The first crop of shrimp was released in early April. After nearly 3 months, farmers are now harvesting shrimp. The whole district has harvested nearly 500 tons of the first crop of shrimp/the annual shrimp output of 2.5 thousand tons. The first crop of shrimp yield is estimated at 3.5 tons/ha.

Quynh Bang Commune is a locality with a large shrimp farming area of ​​186.6 hectares. Currently, the whole commune has harvested nearly 300 tons, accounting for nearly 60% of the first crop shrimp harvest of the whole district.
