General Secretary To Lam attended the inauguration ceremony of the Ministry of Public Security headquarters at 96 Nguyen Du Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City this morning.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the "National Day for Protecting National Security" (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), this morning, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held the inauguration ceremony of its headquarters.
General Secretary To Lam attended the ceremony. Also present were former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; and General Le Hong Anh, former Standing Member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat.

General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, presided over the ceremony.
The project to build the Ministry of Public Security headquarters is a key project, a prime example of the modernization process of the Ministry of Public Security's infrastructure in accordance with Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo; it was initiated by General Secretary To Lam from the very first steps and throughout its implementation.
Construction began in December 2023, and the project is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, fully meeting and providing ample space for the operational needs of the Ministry of Public Security.
With the effort and determination to complete the project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Police Force, the project management board launched a 200-day and night continuous construction emulation campaign, minimizing the construction time.
After nearly 18 months of construction, under the close and decisive direction of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security; the involvement and cooperation of the leaders of ministries, sectors, and the City of Hanoi; the efforts of the investor, and the determination of the construction contractor, the project has been completed and put into use, ensuring spacious, standardized, and modern facilities to effectively serve the work of the People's Public Security force.
At the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, and other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new Ministry of Public Security headquarters and planted a commemorative tree in the headquarters' grounds.
