Many expressions of respect, admiration, and sorrow for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong were shared on the personal Facebook and Zalo pages of officials, Party members, and the people. Nghe An Newspaper recorded some of the sentiments of officials, Party members, and people of Nghe An towards General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, whom many people from the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh called the "second Uncle Ho."

I was fortunate enough to meet, shake hands with, and take a commemorative photo with Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong at the 11th National Congress of Women's Representatives, term 2012-2017; I felt a deep appreciation for him – a simple, sincere, and warm-hearted person. Throughout these years, under Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong's leadership, the work of building and rectifying the Party has been comprehensively and synchronously implemented in all areas: political ideology, organization and personnel, inspection, supervision, and Party discipline; especially the "war" against corruption; contributing to making our Party clean, truly ethical, and civilized; and enhancing the people's trust in the Party.

Thinking of Uncle Ho, I always hold him in high esteem – a leader with profound theoretical thinking, extensive knowledge combined with rich practical experience, a close and grassroots approach, and a strong sense of responsibility. He consistently demonstrated a serious attitude and a consistent, unwavering leadership style, embodying the principles of "matching words with actions," "speaking frankly and truthfully, acting genuinely, systematically, cautiously, and surely." His working methods were scientific and decisive; he upheld principles, promoted democracy, respected and listened to the opinions of cadres, Party members, and the people; he was trusted and loved by cadres, Party members, and the people, and was highly respected and appreciated by international friends.

I hope that the thoughts and concerns of Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong regarding Party building and rectification, especially the fight against corruption, will continue to be implemented more decisively and effectively by Party organizations at all levels, with the goal of making the Party strong and worthy of the name "Our Party".

To me, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a man of pure, noble character and intellect; a communist soldier who has been steadfast and dedicated his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party; an exemplary and talented leader; the great "firestarter" and "firefighter" of the entire nation... The values ​​of his thoughts, work, and contributions have greatly enriched the precious cultural heritage of the nation in the 21st century and will forever endure with the nation; at the same time, he is a "torch" that continues to illuminate the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party in the present era and in my heart.

As a member of an ethnic minority group and currently working in an ethnic minority region, I have always felt the deep concern of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for ethnic minority areas. Over the past terms, the General Secretary, together with the Party and State, has paid attention to building national unity and fostering the all-round development of ethnic minority regions with many major policies and decisions, creating conditions for these regions to innovate and progress. In particular, the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, currently being implemented, will contribute to promoting the all-round progress of these regions and help narrow the development gap between regions in the coming time.

The people of ethnic minorities have always been in agreement, united, and have absolute faith in the "cause" that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has left for the entire Party and the entire people, to continue striving to rise up with a spirit of self-reliance and self-strength, along with the support and companionship of the Party and the State.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has ignited an unending flame of faith in the work of Party building and rectification in general, and in the hearts of each cadre and Party member in particular. Beginning with the issuance of Central Resolution 4 (11th Party Congress) and subsequent resolutions, directives, and regulations, Party building work from the central to the grassroots level has been infused with new vitality. Every word and action of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a prime example of "living" the principle of "words matching deeds," demonstrating integrity and honor linked to one's true self, which has had a profound impact on cadres, Party members, and the people nationwide. Each cadre and Party member understands that Party building and rectification is not about abstract concepts, but about concrete actions, even small ones, done with a sense of responsibility, and not sacrificing prestige and honor for personal gain.

The General Secretary's policies, ideology, ethics, and style have revived the faith and inner strength of cadres and Party members in the process of building and rectifying the Party at all levels, especially at the grassroots; they have had a profound impact on the awareness and behavior of cadres, Party members, and the people. Now, he has passed away, but the beat of his heart will forever remain. That spirit, that enthusiasm, will continue to flourish in generations today and tomorrow.

The General Secretary was not only a brilliant leader and a true communist, but also a role model of a simple, approachable leadership style, deeply connected to the people, and especially, always placing absolute trust in the youth – the pioneering force in building a prosperous and happy country.

At the 10th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the General Secretary stated: “As we all know, youth are a very important part of society, representing the strength of the nation. Only when the youth are strong can the nation be strong; and within the strength of the nation lies the strength of the youth.”

With gratitude and respect for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, and as a young Youth Union official, I clearly recognize my responsibility to continue conveying his thoughts and guidance on youth, spreading among the younger generation the spirit of learning, self-improvement, and emulation of his bright, simple example, especially his philosophy of life: “The most precious thing for a human being is life and honor. Because a person only lives once; one must live in such a way as to avoid regret and remorse for wasted years; to avoid shame for petty, cowardly actions that earn the contempt of others; so that when one closes their eyes in death, they can proudly say: All their life, all their strength, they have dedicated to the noblest cause in the world – the cause of national liberation, human liberation, and bringing happiness to the people.”

Upon hearing the news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, I share the same profound sorrow and respect as the entire Party and the people. Throughout his life, the General Secretary always followed the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh: "diligence, frugality, integrity, and selflessness." He possessed both vision and compassion; he was always close to the people and concerned about their lives. He was the "soul" of the Party; a living example of a life dedicated to the nation and its people.

I always remember the General Secretary's words: "Never before has our country had such a foundation, position, and potential as it does today." During his time as General Secretary, he resolutely fought against degeneration, corruption, and self-transformation within the Party. To ensure that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's ideology and determination continue to be implemented thoroughly and effectively, every Party organization and every cadre and Party member needs to study and emulate the General Secretary's example of "for the country, for the people"; building unity within the Party, unity within the political system, and unity throughout society to continue building and developing a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
