General Secretary To Lam lays flowers and offers incense at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nghe An.

On the afternoon of October 11th, amidst the enthusiastic atmosphere of emulation to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, General Secretary To Lam visited and laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nghe An province.

Also attending the ceremony were members of the Politburo: Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission; Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Xuan Thang - Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense; and General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security.

Also attending were members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam: Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Vice President; Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Prime Minister; General Tran Quang Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Pham Gia Tuc - Chief of the Central Party Office; General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Also attending were members of the Central Committee of the Party; representatives of the Central Party Office; Assistants to the General Secretary; leaders of central departments and ministries; and leaders of provinces and cities in the 4th Military Region.

The delegation from Military Region 4 included: Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4; and Major General Doan Xuan Buong - Political Commissar of Military Region 4.

The delegation from Nghe An province included: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province.

In a solemn atmosphere, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation expressed their profound respect and boundless gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh – the brilliant leader of our Party and people, and an outstanding figure in the international communist and workers' movement. He dedicated and sacrificed his entire life to the cause of national liberation, and the struggle for peace and happiness for the Vietnamese people and the people of the world.

Following the sacred teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party and State leaders and delegates pledged to continue to unite, work together, seize opportunities and advantages to the fullest, and utilize all resources to strive for comprehensive, strong, and breakthrough development, leading our country into a new era of development - an era of the Vietnamese nation's upward progress.
