Throughout the day on December 10th, Macron will meet with representatives of parliamentary groups, trade unions, and employers' unions to find common ground in developing political solutions to the current situation in France.
Through various officials in the French government, Macron has sent a message indicating that this week he will introduce strong and immediate measures to end the "Yellow Vest" crisis that is currently threatening the stability of France.
Macron has remained silent for several days regarding the violent developments of the December 8th "Yellow Vest" protests. This silence is believed to be a calculated move by Macron to avoid escalating tensions.
On December 8th, the fourth round of "Yellow Vest" protests took place. Violence continued in Paris and many other cities across France. Throughout France, nearly 2,000 people were questioned and 1,700 were detained, with over 900 of them in Paris alone.
