Throughout December 10, Mr. Macron will meet with representatives of parliamentary groups, trade unions and employers' unions to find common ground in coming up with political solutions to the current situation in France.
Through many officials in the French government, Mr. Macron sent a message saying that this week he would introduce strong and immediate measures to end the "Yellow Vest" crisis that is threatening the stability of France today.
Mr. Macron has been silent for many days in the face of the violent developments of the protests on December 8 of the “Yellow Vest” movement. This silence is considered Mr. Macron’s calculation to avoid escalating tensions.
On December 8, the fourth wave of “Yellow Vest” protesters took to the streets. Violence continued to erupt in Paris and many other cities across France. Nearly 2,000 people were searched and 1,700 were detained across France, including over 900 in Paris alone.
