Russian President Putin congratulates Special Operations Forces
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Russian President, the units of the Special Operations Forces have proven in practice that they are always at the forefront, ready to protect the Fatherland.

According to TASS, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video message posted on the Kremlin's Telegram channel on the occasion of the country's Special Operations Forces Day, he affirmed that Russia's Special Operations Forces act bravely and decisively in the most dangerous areas of special military operations and have proven their readiness to protect the country's interests anywhere in the world.
"Congratulations on your holiday: Special Operations Forces Day. I thank all servicemen and veterans for performing their military service with honesty, dedication and personal courage, as well as fidelity to their oath and duty," the Russian leader said.
“I would like to express my special gratitude to the soldiers who participated in the special military operation. You performed your duties with honor and acted courageously, skillfully and decisively in the most dangerous places, on the front lines, deep behind enemy lines, in raids and lightning attacks,” he added.
According to Mr. Putin, "Unit of special operations forces have proven in practice that they are ready to be the first to defend the Fatherland and protect Russia's national interests anywhere in the world."
The head of state stressed that high qualities and exceptional training have always distinguished the soldiers and commanders of special operations forces. Therefore, according to Putin, they defended the people of Crimea and Sevastopol against threats from nationalists and punitive forces, excelled in the fight against terrorism in Syria, and are showing examples of heroism and courage in the battles against neo-Nazism today.
Commenting on Russia's decision to create special operations forces since the 2008 military reforms, Mr. Putin said that it was "dictated by the times and the need to effectively respond to new challenges."
He praised these forces for passing the test of fire with dignity and becoming a powerful strike force of the Russian army.
Special Operations Forces Day has been an official holiday in Russia since 2015.
