During his 2012 re-election campaign, President Obama stated that it was "my last political campaign" and "I have nothing left to run for." Yet, he ultimately campaigned for his successor once again.
Last week, Obama also participated in a fundraising event for Clinton in Chicago. And today, Tuesday, October 11th, he gave a speech in support of Clinton along with other Senate candidates in North Carolina.
President Obama viewed this election as a big gamble, not only because the next president would inherit and consolidate his legacy, but also because he believed the Republican candidate would harm the country.
In his speeches, in addition to listing his accomplishments during his term, he also did not hesitate to express his support for Clinton as the most qualified candidate for president and voiced his concerns that a Trump victory could reverse all the country's long-standing efforts.
President Obama is currently pouring all his efforts into campaigning in support of Hillary Clinton.
However, analysts believe that ultimately, victory will depend on Hillary Clinton's own efforts, and Obama cannot guarantee her success.
