Philippine President vows to resign if his son is found guilty of corruption.
Rodrigo Duterte has stated he will resign if his son is implicated in the corruption scandal at the Philippine Customs Bureau.

"If my child actually did that or was involved in it, all you have to do is provide clear, unambiguous written evidence."President of the PhilippinesRodrigo Duterte said this on August 11, according to CNN.
"Just give me the proof, and I will resign. That is my commitment to you," Duterte emphasized.
He reacted to reports that his son, Davao Deputy Mayor Paolo Duterte, was involved in corruption at the Philippine Customs Bureau.They were caught smuggling a consignment of drugs worth over $125,000 from China into the Philippines.

Mark Taguba, the intermediary in the case, testified on August 7th that some people in the department he had contacted mentioned the Deputy Mayor.
Taguba added that he had never met or spoken to the Philippine president's son. He also had no evidence of a connection between Paolo and a group in Davao accused of engaging in illegal activities.
