President Putin oversees the West-2025 military exercise with Belarus.
Russian President Vladimir Putin personally visited the Mulino training ground to oversee progress during the most crucial phase of the Western-2025 military exercises.

According to RIA Novosti, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Mulino training ground on September 16, where he oversaw the progress of the main phase of the Zapad-2025 (West-2025) military exercises.
"I asked the Secretary of Defense to report on the military's readiness to proceed with the final phase of the exercise, and of course, I wish everyone good luck," the President said.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief that Russian and Belarusian servicemen began training at 9:00 a.m. on September 12. This activity is taking place as part of the armed forces' training plan.
President Putin emphasized that the purpose of the exercises was to practice defending the union state of Russia and Belarus against any acts of aggression. The plans were developed based on experience gained during the conduct of special military operations.
At West-2025, 10,000 modern weapons systems and equipment were used in actual combat operations. More than 247 vessels were deployed, including surface ships, submarines, and support vessels. 100,000 military personnel participated in the events at 41 training grounds.
"I hope this is useful for the military personnel professionally. And in terms of building a high level of trust between the two countries, this is certainly useful. You have seen how the Russian military builds its work on the experience of using the Armed Forces in modern armed conflicts," President Putin said at the Mulino training ground.

Putin also inspected samples of weapons, special equipment, and military devices. In total, more than 400 samples were displayed at the exhibition, of which 125 had been used in special military operations, 194 were undergoing combat testing, and 86 were in the testing phase.
The Zapad-2025 strategic exercise took place from September 12-16. Combat groups from military command agencies and troops from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and partner countries were invited to participate.
