President Putin makes blind girl's dream come true

According to RT news agency, President Putin met and gave an interview to Regina Parpieva on December 20, shortly after he ended his annual press conference with more than 1,700 domestic and international reporters.

Regina suffers from a rare disease called neuromyelitis optica, also known as Devic's disease. But the disease cannot prevent this strong-willed girl from participating in the activities she dreams of: becoming a talented swimmer, a musician and, most of all, she aspires to become a journalist. When she has the opportunity to do an internship in journalism, she wants to interview the President of Russia.

When President Putin entered the room, Regina looked excited and happy. The two switched roles for a moment as Putin asked Regina a few questions.

Starting out as a trainee reporter, Regina asked Mr Putin about his early days as president and whether he had always dreamed of becoming president.

The conversation became more friendly when the girl asked Mr. Putin about his musical preferences and what gift he would like to receive for the New Year. The Kremlin leader said that the best gift for him is for the life of the Russian people to improve and for his government to achieve its goals.

At the end of the interview, before saying goodbye to the Kremlin boss, Regina asked to touch President Putin's face to better visualize the leader. Regina said that he was a good and handsome man.

Regina's mother, Gulnara, said: "Regina is very happy because her dream has come true. Of course, although she prepared for the interview, she was a bit nervous at first because she knew that President Putin is a very important person. However, with respect, President Putin answered her questions in detail and very friendly."
