According to RT, President Putin met with and interviewed Regina Parpieva on December 20, shortly after he concluded his annual press conference with more than 1,700 domestic and international journalists.

Regina suffers from a rare disease called optic neuromyelitis, also known as Devic's disease. However, her illness couldn't stop this determined young woman from pursuing her dreams: becoming a talented swimmer, a musician, and, above all, a journalist. When given the opportunity to intern in journalism, she wanted to interview the President of Russia.

When President Putin entered the room, Regina's nervousness and excitement were evident. The two briefly switched roles as Putin asked Regina a few questions.

When she started as a trainee reporter, Regina asked Putin about his early days as president and whether he had ever dreamed of becoming president.

The conversation became more friendly when the young woman asked Putin about his musical preferences and the gift he would like to receive for the New Year. The Kremlin leader said that the greatest gift for him would be an improved life for the Russian people and his government achieving its goals.

At the end of the interview, before bidding farewell to the Kremlin leader, Regina asked to touch President Putin's face so she could get a better idea of ​​what the leader looked like. Regina said that he was a good and handsome man.

Regina's mother, Gulnara, said: "Regina is thrilled that her dream has come true. Of course, even though she had prepared for the interview, she was initially a little nervous because she knows President Putin is a very important person. But with respect, President Putin answered her questions in detail and very kindly."
