President Putin says Russia will not fight NATO
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called for the unity of the people, and ruled out the possibility of Russia attacking Europe.

RIA Novosti reported on March 28 that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a conversation with military pilots at the 344th Flight Crew Training and Retraining Center during a working visit to Torzhok. Mr. Putin called for protecting the unity of the people, commented on Western statements about the "Russian threat", and explained that in that case there would be no special military operation in Ukraine.
"As soon as we have negative thoughts about the presence of strangers in our country, we will destroy our country, and the main victims will be the Russian people," President Putin shared, admitting that when he heard slogans like "Russia is for Russians only", he felt worried. He called for serious consideration of the issue of maintaining peace between ethnic groups in the country.
"It is necessary to treat every element seriously, think when pronouncing each word, each phrase. Think about the fact that we have a large unified Fatherland" - President Putin suggested.
According to the Russian leader, peace between ethnic groups in Russia needs to be protected, because Russia is a multinational, multi-religious country.
President Putin said Western claims that Russia was planning to attack Europe after Ukraine were "nonsense" and aimed at threatening its own people.
According to Mr. Putin, the US satellites are "afraid of a big and strong Russia", although they are doing so in vain. The Russian leader emphasized: "We have no aggressive intentions towards these countries".
"The possibility of an attack on some other countries is nonsense - on Poland, the Baltic States, scaring the Czechs. It's all nonsense. It's a way to deceive the Western people, and extract more costs from the people, forcing them to bear the burden," President Putin asserted.
Mr. Putin emphasized that Russia will not fight NATO, which is also "just nonsense". The difference in military spending is huge. President Putin recalled that in 2022, the US spent $ 811 billion on the military, while Russia spent only $ 72 billion. "At this rate, will we fight NATO or something?", Mr. Putin said.
President Putin reiterated that Russia is not approaching the borders of NATO countries, but rather they are approaching Russia.
President Putin noted that, during the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia was protecting the people of its historical territories; and if after the collapse of the Soviet Union a security system had been built in Europe, then nothing would have happened.
At the same time, President Putin expressed confidence that F-16 fighter jets, even if supplied to Ukraine by Western countries, would not be able to change the situation on the battlefield. He stressed that if these fighter jets were launched from the territory of a third country, they would become Russia's legitimate targets./.
