President Putin reveals new unique features of the Oreshnik missile.
President Putin stated that the temperature at the warhead of the Oreshnik missile is equivalent to the heat of the sun's surface.

According to RIA Novosti, at the Future Technologies Forum held in Moscow on February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the whole world is talking about Russia's latest Oreshnik missile system and revealed unique new details about this weapon.
"There's nothing to say about safety. I've talked about this before. The whole world is talking about 'Oreshnik'! And what materials are they made of? The temperature of the Oreshnik warhead corresponds to the temperature on the surface of the sun," President Putin stated at the plenary session of the Forum on Future Technologies.
Explaining why the Oreshnik missile did not appear sooner, President Putin said it was due to a shortage of the necessary materials.
Putin said: “In the late 1980s, they started thinking about creating such systems. They couldn’t do it because they didn’t have the materials. That was the problem. It flies and melts, and the control signals pass through. This is the result of research on new materials.”
In addition, the General Director of the State Corporation Rosatom, Alexey Likhachev, guided President Vladimir Putin in viewing the details of the Oreshnik missile system's warhead. According to Likhachev, Oreshnik is capable of withstanding temperatures similar to those on the surface of the sun, around 4000 degrees Celsius.
Previously, the Russian President had given a speech claiming that Ukraine attacked targets in the Kursk and Bryansk regions on November 19, 2024, using US ATACMS long-range missiles and British Storm Shadow long-range missiles.
In retaliation for the use of weapons by the US and UK, on November 21, Russia launched a combined attack targeting a Ukrainian military-industrial complex in Dnepropetrovsk – a facility specializing in the production of missile technology and weapons.
In particular, under combat conditions, a test of Russia's newest medium-range missile system, Oreshnik, was conducted, in this case a ballistic missile carrying a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead.
The Future Technologies Forum has been held annually in Moscow since 2023, with the participation of the Russian President. This year, the forum took place from February 20-21. The forum showcased innovative technologies and scientific developments that will determine the direction of economic development in the coming years.
