President Putin reveals new unique features of Oreshnik missile
President Putin said that the temperature on the warhead of the Oreshnik missile is equivalent to the surface of the sun.

According to RIA Novosti, at the Future Technologies Forum held in Moscow on February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the whole world is talking about Russia's latest missile complex Oreshnik and revealed unique new details about this weapon.
"There is nothing to say about safety. I have said this before. The whole world is talking about "Oreshnik"! And what materials are they made of? The temperature of the Oreshnik warhead corresponds to the temperature on the surface of the sun" – President Putin said at the plenary session of the Future Technologies Forum.
Explaining why the Oreshnik missile did not appear earlier, President Putin said it was due to a lack of necessary materials.
“In the late 80s, they started thinking about creating such systems. They couldn’t do it because there was no material. That’s the problem. It flies and melts, and the control signal goes through. This is the result of research on new materials,” Putin said.
In addition, Rosatom State Corporation General Director Alexey Likhachev guided President Vladimir Putin to see the details of the Oreshnik rocket complex's head. According to Mr. Likhachev, Oreshnik is capable of withstanding temperatures like those on the surface of the Sun, about 4000 degrees Celsius.
Previously, the Russian President had made a speech declaring that Ukraine attacked targets in the Kursk and Bryansk regions on November 19, 2024 with American ATACMS long-range missiles and British Storm Shadow long-range missiles.
In response to the use of weapons by the US and UK, on November 21, Russia launched a combined attack on a Ukrainian military-industrial complex in Dnepropetrovsk – which specializes in the production of missile technology and weapons.
In particular, in combat conditions, a test of Russia's newest medium-range missile system, Oreshnik, was conducted, in this case a ballistic missile with a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead.
The Future Technologies Forum will be held annually in Moscow from 2023 with the participation of the President of Russia. This year, the forum will be held from February 20-21. The forum will showcase innovative technologies and scientific developments that will determine the direction of economic development in the coming years.
