Serbian President: The world is on the brink of nuclear war.

According to RIA Novosti, speaking at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the world is on the brink of nuclear catastrophe due to conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.

The head of state, on behalf of Serbia and its people, expressed condolences to the families of those killed in conflicts, including in the Middle East and Ukraine. President Vucic emphasized the loss of innocent children.

"This may seem completely unbelievable, but the world is facing a nuclear catastrophe," President Vucic said.

Sharing concerns about conflicts around the world, at the General Assembly session, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the international community must stop Israeli violence in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon before it spreads throughout the Middle East and the world.

"The international community must immediately end the violence and ensure a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as end Israel's actions in Lebanon, before violence engulfs the Middle East and the entire world," President Pezeshkian said.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for an end to hostilities between Russia and Ukraine. He argued that dialogue is the only way to resolve the crisis between the two countries.

President Pezeshkian said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran opposes war and emphasizes the urgent need to end hostilities in Ukraine. We support all peace initiatives and believe that dialogue is the only way to resolve this crisis.”
