According to RIA Novosti on January 26, US President Donald Trump made sarcastic comments about the possibility of a third term. Trump called the idea an "honor," but stressed that it only exists in a series of "fake headlines."
“It would be the greatest honor of my life to serve not just once, but twice, three, or four times… But then, those are the headlines, the fake news!” – President Trump said in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the same time, Trump reaffirmed his intention to focus on the tasks of a second term and continue pursuing his political initiatives.
Also in Las Vegas, US President Donald Trump confirmed the information about freezing the allocation of new aid to the states.
"I have suspended federal hiring, suspended regulation, suspended foreign aid! And I have created a new Department of Government Efficiency. We're going to have a lot of people doing a good job. We've got Elon Musk to do it," President Trump said.
The president added that the department headed by billionaire Musk would optimize the work of the government apparatus and eliminate unnecessary costs.
Additionally, US President Donald Trump said that Mexican leaders were "pleased" to hear about his plan to rename the Gulf of Mexico to "American Gulf."
Mr. Trump also announced a new tax reform that he intends to sign in the coming months. "That's going to be something really special. I think this is going to be a significant event for us," Mr. Trump added.
On March 4th, US President Donald Trump will deliver a speech at a joint session of Congress.
“I am honored to have President Donald Trump appear before Congress on Tuesday, March 4th, to outline his ‘America First’ vision for the future of our nation,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson. President Trump is expected to present his vision of America’s domestic and foreign policy priorities for the next four years.
