According to RIA Novosti on January 26, US President Donald Trump commented sarcastically on the possibility of his third term. Mr. Trump called such an idea “honorable,” but emphasized that it only exists on a series of “fake headlines.”
“It would be the greatest honor of my life to serve not just once, but twice, three or four times… But those are the headlines, fake news! – President Trump said in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the same time, Mr. Trump reaffirmed his intention to focus on the tasks of his second term and continue to implement his political initiatives.
Also in Las Vegas, US President Donald Trump confirmed information about freezing new aid allocations to states.
“I’ve suspended federal hiring, I’ve suspended regulation, I’ve suspended foreign aid! And I’ve created a new Department of Government Efficiency. We’re going to have a lot of people who will do a great job. We’ve got Elon Musk to do it,” President Trump said.
The president added that the department headed by billionaire Musk will optimize the work of the state apparatus and eliminate redundant costs.
Additionally, US President Donald Trump said Mexican leaders were "delighted" to learn of his plan to rename the Gulf of Mexico "Gulf of America."
Mr Trump also announced a new tax overhaul that he plans to sign in the coming months. "It's going to be something really special. I think it's going to be a big deal for us," Mr Trump added.
On March 4, US President Donald Trump will deliver a speech at a joint session of Congress.
“I am honored to invite President Donald Trump to appear before Congress on Tuesday, March 4, to outline his ‘America First’ vision for the future of our country,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson. President Trump is expected to present his vision for US domestic and foreign policy priorities for the next four years.
