President Donald Trump said receiving the nuclear codes on inauguration day was a "serious moment."

"When they explained what it represented and the destruction, it was a really serious moment. Yes. It was very, very scary, in a way," President Donald Trump said in an interview with ABC News.

The nuclear codes were handed over to President Trump after his inauguration on January 20th. These codes allow the commander-in-chief of the United States to launch a nuclear attack.

"I believe I'm going to do the right thing, the right thing. But it really is a very, very scary thing," Trump replied when a reporter asked if the nuclear codes were keeping him awake at night.
