According to RIA Novosti, US President Donald Trump has set November 27 as the deadline for Ukraine to accept the terms of Washington's proposed 28-point peace agreement.

"Next Thursday is the right time to implement the plan, we think," President Donald Trump said on Fox News Radio.

The US President asserted that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky would have to approve the peace plan for Ukraine.

"At some point, Mr. Zelensky will have to agree to something," President Trump said when asked about Kyiv's reaction to the US peace initiative.

According to the White House, the Ukrainian leader should be pleased with the agreement. However, Trump emphasized that Zelensky had no trump card, and the agreement should have been signed one or two years ago.

"We have a path to peace. We believe there is such a path. Mr. Zelensky will have to accept that path," President Trump concluded.

President Trump also stated that Ukraine would inevitably lose control of the remaining areas of Donbas that were under its control.

According to The Washington Post, Washington is threatening to cut off military aid if Kyiv does not sign a peace agreement.

On the Russian side, speaking at a meeting of the Russian Security Council on November 21, President Vladimir Putin said that the new peace plan proposed by the United States could become the basis for a final peaceful solution.
