President Donald Trump declared that the US has not stopped attacking Iran. This warning comes as the conflict between the US and Iran continues to escalate.
According to AFP, fighting has only been going on for two weeks. However, President Donald Trump believes Iran will need more than two decades to recover. The American leader asserted that Tehran's reconstruction process will take a very long time. Washington is not yet finished with its campaign, nor do they intend to withdraw troops at this time.
The warning came as neighboring countries reported attacks by Iran. Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain were all targeted. Bahraini officials said they intercepted multiple attacks. Air raid sirens sounded continuously throughout the country. Kuwait and Jordan also confirmed successfully shooting down aircraft and missiles.
Kuwait accused Tehran of attacking power plants. Desalination facilities were also targeted. The population had to accept a strict energy rationing system.
At the White House, President Trump met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. Trump pledged support for efforts to disarm Hezbollah. The shared goal is to achieve peace with Israel.
Regarding the regional situation, President Trump affirmed that he would deal with the Houthi rebels. This group recently threatened to blockade Saudi Arabian seaports. Trump reiterated that the US had previously taken decisive action against the Houthis, which had silenced them for a considerable period. The Saudi Arabian government strongly condemned the threat, calling it an act of terrorist militia. It remains unclear how the Houthis will implement this blockade plan.
