Ukrainian President Zelensky opposes negotiations with Russia.
Ukrainian President Zelensky spoke at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council, opposing the holding of talks with Russia.

According to RIA Novosti, speaking at a UN Security Council meeting on September 24 (Washington time), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky voiced his opposition to negotiations with Russia to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
"This conflict cannot be resolved through negotiations; action is needed. Russia can only be forced into peace," President Zelensky stated, without specifying the actions he intended to take.
President Zelensky also criticized those who “want to talk” with Russian President Vladimir Putin about resolving the conflict. Furthermore, in his speech, he called for support for using his “peace formula” to resolve the conflict.
President Zelensky also called for “preparations for a second peace summit” in Ukraine to end the conflict with Russia, but did not specify what would be discussed there. He also invited China, Brazil, Asian and Latin American countries, the United States, and other nations to participate in the conflict resolution process.
"We must prepare for a second peace summit to end the conflict," Zelensky added.
Earlier, President Zelensky said in an interview with ABC News on September 24 that his so-called "win plan for Ukraine" had nothing to do with negotiations with Russia, but aimed to strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces. According to Zelensky, this plan aimed to end the conflict quickly, not prolong it for several years.
A source close to President Zelensky also told ABC News that his initiative would include the military support Kyiv needs, and a list of necessary political and diplomatic steps. He added that the plan does not include concessions to Russia.
At a UN Security Council meeting on September 24, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that Kyiv needs to accept realistic parameters "as quickly as possible" to resolve the protracted crisis and avoid unrealistic "win-win plans."
Representative Vasily Nebenzya argued that Ukrainian President Zelensky arrived at the peak week of the UN General Assembly in New York with an "outstretched hand," attempting to persuade the West to increase its interest in the conflict.
