President Zelensky expands Ukraine's delegation to 14 people for talks with Russia.

According to RIA Novosti on July 23, President Volodymyr Zelensky increased the number of Ukrainian delegation participating in negotiations with Russia from 12 to 14 people, according to a decree published on his website.

According to the document, the delegation was supplemented by the representative of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights in the system of security and defense agencies - Yury Kolbasa, as well as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yevhen Ostryansky.

If in the previous two rounds of negotiations, the head of the international and operational law department of the central legal department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Malovetsky, participated in the delegation, now his deputy Andriy Fomin will participate in the negotiations.

Earlier, also on July 23, a source told RIA Novosti that the composition of the Russian delegation remained unchanged.

The sides held two rounds of talks in Istanbul, Türkiye, in May and June. They resulted in a prisoner exchange and Ukraine receiving its dead. The delegations also exchanged draft memoranda of understanding on a vision for a peaceful settlement. The new meeting is expected to discuss the memoranda of understanding and humanitarian issues.

On July 22, a Turkish source told RIA Novosti that the third round of negotiations between Moscow and Kiev is scheduled to take place on July 23 (around 11 p.m. Hanoi time) at the Ciragan Palace. However, the specific date and time are still being clarified. The Russian side has not confirmed this information.

On July 19, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov had proposed holding another round of negotiations next week. A source in the Russian negotiating team confirmed information about this proposal to RIA Novosti. Signals from Kiev give hope that the date of the negotiations will be announced soon.
