President Zelensky outlines 'first step' to end conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described the "first step" towards ending the conflict with Russia.

According to RT on October 23, in an interview with the Financial Times, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the “first step” towards ending the conflict in Ukraine. Accordingly, this could be an end to attacks on each other’s energy infrastructure.
“We did not attack their energy infrastructure, they did not attack our energy infrastructure. Could this lead to the end of the hot phase of the war? I think so,” President Zelensky said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian leader discussed with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin the possibility of using long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.
In addition, President Zelensky's “victory plan” is not shared by most partners.
Poland – a close ally of Ukraine – said that Ukraine's refusal to give Poland access to the secret terms of President Zelensky's "victory plan" was unreasonable and wrong.
Last week, Mr. Zelensky presented to the parliament a roadmap for winning the conflict with Russia, including five public points and three secret annexes.
The plan, which has been made public, includes proposals for the West to immediately invite Ukraine to join NATO and lift restrictions on the use of foreign-made long-range weapons to strike Russia. Mr. Zelensky also proposed that the West deploy non-nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory as a deterrent.
Mikhail Podoliak, a senior adviser to President Zelensky, then spoke briefly about the three “secret” provisions, explaining that they included a list of goals, an action plan and details of the necessary weapons that Ukraine wanted from the West.
