Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool: Who will be the UEFA Champions League champion?

This is the match between Tottenham and Liverpool to determine the new European champion of the 2018-2019 season.

Both Tottenham and Liverpool have written truly miraculous stories in this season's Champions League semi-finals. Premier League runners-up Liverpool staged an incredible comeback against giants Barcelona at Anfield, after being 3-0 down in the first leg, winning 4-0 in the second leg and advancing to the final with their heads held high.

Liverpool's rivals, Tottenham, also proved equally impressive, achieving a similar feat. Despite trailing 0-1 in the first leg and 0-2 in the first half, a hat-trick from Lucas Moura secured a victory for Pochettino's side against Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the second half, allowing them to advance thanks to the away goals rule (aggregate score 3-3) and reach the final for the first time in their history.

"The Spurs" and "The Red Brigade" are fully deserved in the final, as Real Madrid have been dethroned due to a loss of identity, Barca have fallen because they underestimated their opponents, Juventus have been eliminated, and Man Utd have played poorly… while Liverpool and Tottenham represent the desire and effort to reach the pinnacle of glory.

Liverpool's fighting spirit is undeniable, as demonstrated in this year's Premier League, where the "Reds" chased defending champions Man City point by point, creating one of the most dramatic two-horse races in Premier League history. It wasn't until the final matchday that Man City officially secured their title, finishing just one point ahead of Liverpool.

Entering the upcoming match against Tottenham, Jurgen Klopp's team is still considered the favorite thanks to their extensive experience in the Champions League. They also boast a high-quality squad with depth, including the Premier League Player of the Season 2018-2019, center-back Virgil van Dijk. Furthermore, Klopp has two of this season's top scorers, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, at his disposal. In addition, the return of Firmino from injury will form a formidable attacking force against any defense.

For Tottenham, in recent seasons, the London club has experienced a strong resurgence since manager Pochettino took over. At the end of previous seasons, the "Spurs" consistently finished in the top positions, qualifying for European competitions.

Tottenham have also had an impressive start to the season. At times, they have put up a fierce fight with Man City and Liverpool.

However, with numerous injuries and a lack of quality additions in the transfer market, Tottenham were unable to maintain their strength in the fierce competition. But all the efforts and aspirations of the London team were rewarded when they reached the final. And they have the chance to lift the prestigious Champions League trophy for the first time in 137 years of the club's history, if they defeat Liverpool in this match.

Facing a strong team like Liverpool, manager Pochettino did not have his strongest squad available, as key striker Harry Kane's participation was uncertain due to injury, and winger Aurier was also absent for the same reason.

All hopes now rest on the "special Asian" Son Heung-min and hero Lucas Moura to propel Tottenham forward.

Tottenham will undoubtedly enter the match with the same confidence they displayed in the semi-finals and quarter-finals, where they defeated Man City and Ajax and worked wonders.

With Chelsea having just won the Europa League and Man City sweeping all domestic titles, Liverpool and Tottenham have no reason not to give their all in the final battle of the Champions League, as glory is just one match away.
