Toyota Corolla Altis 2017 is about to launch in Vietnam
The new facelift version of Toyota Corolla Altis has arrived in Vietnam and will be displayed at the VMS 2017 exhibition.
The 11th generation Toyota Corolla Altis was first launched in Vietnam in 2014 and was most recently upgraded in May 2016, but still has the old look. Meanwhile, the 2017 facelift version with a more beautiful and impressive appearance has appeared in Malaysia, Thailand and India over the past several months.
Not making Vietnamese consumers wait any longer, Toyota will display the Corolla Altis 2017 at the VMS 2017 exhibition starting August 1st and is expected to be on sale shortly thereafter.
This is the most significant change in the appearance of the 11th generation Altis, after 3 years since it was first sold in Southeast Asia. The car has a slimmer headlight block as well as a front LED daytime running light strip and a rear LED strip, helping buyers easily distinguish it from the old Altis.
Inside, the 2017 Altis comes with a single-zone automatic air conditioner, keyless start, a steering wheel with integrated audio controls, and a 60:40 split-folding rear seat. Higher trim levels add an Optitron dashboard, a number of buttons for the display and Bluetooth functionality on the steering wheel, as well as leather seats, Cruise Control, and a sporty, 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat.
Toyota also offers the option of a 2-DIN DVD-AVN entertainment head unit with a 7-inch screen, supporting Bluetooth, WiFi, HDMI, GPS navigation and integrated rear camera. If you want a better experience, customers can choose to upgrade to the DIV-AVN head unit with additional internet access via a capacitive touch screen. In addition, there are genuine accessories such as sports body kits, dash cams...
In some markets, all configuration versions of Altis 2017 are equipped with standard electronic balance system VSC and 7 airbags, including 1 additional airbag in the driver's knee position. Therefore, the vehicle's performance will be more stable and the car will become more worth buying than the old version.
While the Corolla Altis 2017 in Thailand starts at 799,000 baht (527 million VND), the car in Malaysia starts at RM117,361 (603 million VND) and in India it starts at 1,587 million rupees (552 million VND). Cars in these markets are all equipped with a 1.8L VVT-i engine with a capacity of 138 horsepower and a maximum torque of 173 Nm.
It is expected that cars in Vietnam will still have 2 gasoline engine options of 1.8L and 2.0L as before, but the selling price will be adjusted down to better compete with rivals in the C-class sedan segment.
