| Four upgraded versions of the 2016 Camry have been introduced to the Malaysian market. |
The Japanese automaker in Malaysia introduced the 2016 upgraded version of the Camry mid-size sedan, featuring improved engine power for the Camry 2.0E, 2.0G, 2.0GX, and 2.5 Hybrid models.
The updated version launched last year offered no improvements in the power output of the engines used in this sedan. Therefore, upgrading engine power makes the Camry more attractive to customers. The 2016 Camry also introduces a new 7-airbag safety system, including a neck airbag for the driver, electronic stability control, traction control, and hill-start assist.
Previously, the Camry 2.0E version only had 2 airbags, and electronic stability control was only available on higher-end versions. The 2016 upgraded version of the Camry also features a dual-zone automatic climate control system, smart key, and rear parking sensors.
The upgraded Camry 2.0GX version features 17-inch wheels, a 7-inch central touchscreen, and WiFi connectivity. The 2.5 Hybrid version adds a navigation system and wireless smart charging. Furthermore, intelligent rearview mirrors and a blind spot monitoring system are also included in this premium eco-friendly version.
The Camry is also a popular model in Vietnam, competing in the same segment as D-segment cars such as the Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Teana, and Mazda6.
