Toyota Vios 2016 technology upgrade
Besides a new design, the Japanese automaker's compact sedan adds features and technology, and is expected to go on sale in China starting in September.
Unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show in April, Toyota introduced the upgraded 2016 Vios with a redesigned, sportier exterior. Nearly three months later, the Japanese automaker revealed information about additional cabin features.

According to PCauto, the upgraded 2016 Vios will feature a larger screen for the infotainment system, along with features such as video playback, music listening, navigation, and more. In addition, the Japanese automaker has added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
In addition, Toyota equips the Vios with a new vehicle stability control system and start/stop technology. On the higher-end version, the Japanese automaker uses projector headlights, daytime running lights and positioning lights, and a traditional analog instrument panel.
The 2016 Vios facelift features 1.3-liter and 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i engines. Toyota replaced the standard 4-speed automatic transmission with a CVT transmission, and offered a 5-speed manual transmission as an option.
According to plan, the updated 2016 Toyota Vios will go on sale in China from September. In Vietnam, Toyota currently offers customers three versions of the Vios with the older 1.5-liter 1NZ-FE engine and a 1.3-liter engine. Prices range from 570 to 649 million VND.
