The 2017 Toyota Vios has just been launched in the Thai market with a starting price of only 425 million VND. The Toyota Vios is expected to go on sale in January 2018.

Toyota Thailand has officially introduced the 2017 Toyota Vios to customers, featuring significant design changes. The car will go on sale from January 2018. Specifically, the 2017 Toyota Vios will offer six exterior color options: Red Mica Metallic, Quartz Brown Metallic, Super White, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, and Attitude Black Mica.

The car measures 4,420mm in length, 1,700mm in width, and 1,475mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,550mm and a ground clearance of 145mm. The 2017 Vios features a design quite similar to the version that Toyota unveiled at the 2016 Beijing International Auto Show.

In terms of exterior design, the sleek, black-painted grille with its distinctive wing-like shape enhances its sporty look, while the chrome door handles and rear license plate trim add a touch of luxury. This is complemented by new, robust 16-inch five-spoke wheels with a fan-shaped design.

Meanwhile, the interior space impresses with contrasting stitching on the dashboard, seats, and door panels. Other highlights include a 7-inch multimedia infotainment system, leather seats, and metal door handles.

The car is still equipped with a 1.5L Dual VVT-i gasoline engine, code 2NR-FBE. This engine has power equivalent to the 2NR-FE engine currently equipped in the Vios in Vietnam, with a maximum power of 107 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 4,200 rpm. The advantage of the 2NR-FBE engine is that it can use gasoline, ethanol-blended gasoline, or 100% ethanol (E100). This engine is paired with a CVT continuously variable transmission.

Other notable features of the 2017 Toyota Vios include: smart key, sporty instrument cluster, 7-inch multimedia infotainment screen, sporty seats with leather and fabric upholstery, and black metallic door handles that enhance the sporty feel of the 2017 Toyota Vios' interior.

The 2017 Toyota Vios in the Thai market comes in four trims: J, E, G, and S. The car will officially go on sale in January 2018 with a starting price of 609,000 baht (approximately 425 million VND) for the standard version. The top-of-the-line Vios S has a suggested retail price of 789,000 baht (approximately 550 million VND).
