With four consecutive goalless draws, SLNA has lost its position in the top 3 of the league table. Unfortunately, the team from Vinh failed to secure three points against bottom-placed Khanh Hoa, despite playing at home, to consolidate their position.

Four consecutive matches without a win against teams at the bottom of the table is an alarming situation for the Nghe An team's attack. The disappointing draw also caused Coach Nguyen Duc Thang's team to lose their third-place position in the standings to Saigon FC.

Despite taking an early lead through Vinicius, Than Quang Ninh equalized in the 36th minute with a goal from Mac Hong Quan. Just when it seemed Ho Chi Minh City FC had stumbled at Cua Ong Stadium after 90 minutes, former SLNA player Ngo Hoang Thinh shone in the second minute of added time, scoring a crucial goal that helped the league leaders maintain their two-point lead over Hanoi in the standings.

In Round 10, Hanoi FC hosted their "brother" team Da Nang at Hang Day Stadium, with Oseni opening the scoring for the home team in the 29th minute. However, with only two minutes remaining in the first half, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, in his first start, made a mistake in judging Thanh Hai's free kick, allowing the visitors to equalize. Fortunately for Bui Tien Dung, his error was redeemed by goals from Oseni and Hung Dung before Schmitt pulled one back for the visitors in the second half. The final score of 3-2 allowed the capital city team to continue closely chasing league leaders Ho Chi Minh City FC.

After suffering a crushing defeat against HAGL in the 9th round, Viettel traveled south to face Saigon FC. Despite the absence of captain Bui Tien Dung, Viettel's defense, even with Que Ngoc Hai on the field, couldn't prevent Saigon FC from scoring three goals in the first half. Two consecutive heavy defeats have left Viettel languishing at the bottom of the table, despite significant investment before the season. Meanwhile, Saigon FC's victory officially secured third place, overtaking SLNA.

Four out of seven matches in the 10th round of the V.League 2019 ended in a draw. This resulted in minimal changes to the standings. Khánh Hòa, despite surprisingly securing a point against SLNA, remained at the bottom of the table. The two teams above them, Quảng Nam and Nam Định, also drew 1-1 in this round. Thanh Hóa, after two exhilarating wins, was halted by Hải Phòng with a 2-2 draw at Lạch Tray Stadium. HAGL and Bình Dương also drew in the capital city.

Besides the changes in the standings of SLNA and Saigon, the draws in many matches have allowed Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to take advantage of the opportunity to increase their lead over the teams behind them in the race for the championship.
