Vinh City: 2,243 individuals arrested for criminal offenses.

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 6th, Vinh City implemented Directive 46 dated June 26, 2015, of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over the work of ensuring security and order in the new situation, and reviewed the 5-year implementation of Government Decree 77/2010 on coordinating the implementation of tasks to protect national security, maintain social order and safety, and national defense tasks in the city.

Attending the conference was Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee.

The delegates thoroughly understood the basic contents of Directive 46 of the Politburo on strengthening unity, enhancing the capacity and fighting strength of Party committees at all levels, consolidating the political system, protecting internal political security, and improving the quality of state secret protection work in the new situation. They also emphasized strengthening state management in the fields of culture, ideology, and press, ensuring network security and safety, and coordinating effectively among functional forces in crime prevention and control.

Continue to vigorously promote the nationwide movement to protect national security, maintaining vigilance against the peaceful evolution and subversive plots of hostile forces. Effectively implement the two national target programs on crime prevention and drug control. Detect and strictly handle negative incidents and corruption cases, and effectively resolve prominent and complex issues related to security and order.

Weapons seized in criminal cases.

During the five years of implementing Government Decree 77, the city's functional forces investigated and clarified 1,632 cases, arrested 2,243 criminal offenders, handled 1,319 drug-related crimes, 385 cases involving 457 economic criminals, and prosecuted 10 cases involving 22 individuals for embezzlement and abuse of power while performing official duties.

Awards were presented to collectives and individuals who achieved high results in implementing Decree 77.

On this occasion, the City People's Committee awarded commendations to 8 collectives and 8 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing Government Decree 77 on coordinating the performance of tasks related to national security and social order and safety.
