Mr. Hoang Van Khanh - Director of Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company said that the management unit of Hung Dong landfill is the People's Committee of Hung Dong commune, not Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

On the side of Vinh City People's Committee, after receiving the feedback, Mr. Le Sy Chien - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said that he would immediately inspect the incident to handle it promptly.

However, at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, when we left the scene, the fire at the landfill was still spreading around, emitting billowing smoke.

It is known that Hung Dong landfill has been “closed” for many years due to environmental pollution, currently there is still a huge amount of untreated waste here. Recently, due to hot weather, all the vegetation on the landfill has dried up and caught fire very quickly.
