Vinh City: Preparing to construct the Ly Thuong Kiet extended road project

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 22, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a working session on the progress of the Ly Thuong Kiet extended road project in Vinh city. Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired.

The Ly Thuong Kiet Street construction project (section passing through Hung Binh ward, Vinh city) has its starting point intersecting with Le Loi street, its ending point intersecting with Nguyen Van Cu street. The project was approved for investment by Vinh city People's Committee in 2011. In 2014, the Provincial People's Committee approved the project proposal for investment in construction.

The project is implemented in the form of a build-transfer (BT) contract. The investor is Nghe An Road Construction and Design Consulting Joint Stock Company. The length of the road is 1,056.34m, the construction boundary is 24m, of which the road surface is 12m, the sidewalk on each side is 6m.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed Vinh City People's Committee and related sectors and investors to soon complete procedures to start construction of the project by June 2017.

To implement the project, the total number of affected households is 67 households (not including split households), resettlement must be carried out with the recovered land area of ​​11,018m2.²and there are 7 agencies and units affected with a recovered area of ​​13,532m2². The cost of compensation and site clearance is about 133 billion VND (not deducting resettlement land and ANQP land).

To provide new housing for the people, the Vinh City People's Committee has made a detailed plan for the construction of a 1/500 scale park, parking lot, cultural house and resettlement plots in Vinh Phuc block, Hung Phuc ward. The total number of approved plots is 97. Of which, 49 plots and the parking lot area have completed site clearance.

Currently, the investor is completing related procedures, expected to submit to competent authorities for approval by January 2017 and implement the next steps, ensuring project progress.

Faced with the current situation of the project being behind schedule, causing frustration among the people, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed: This is an important traffic project of Vinh City, however, the direction of Vinh City People's Committee in the past time has been slow.

In the coming time, Vinh City People's Committee must really be the focal point to direct this project, clearly assign responsibilities to each member, ensure progress so that in January 2017 the investor can submit the project. In the immediate future, Vinh City People's Committee must do a good job of propaganda to the people, quickly implement site clearance. Strive to implement the payment of land acquisition and compensation by May 2017, and hand over the site to the investor to implement the project by June 2017.

For military units and schools, Vinh City People's Committee proactively coordinates with units to clear construction works on schedule. Sectors, according to their functions and tasks, approve project items, creating favorable conditions for investors to implement the project./.
