Vinh City announces that Nghi Lien commune has achieved advanced new rural standards.

Attending the announcement ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phan Duc Dong - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; along with leaders of the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office, and representatives from the People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front of Vinh City.

After achieving the new rural standard in 2014, Nghi Lien commune continued to lead and direct the political system and mobilize the people to gather resources to maintain, uphold, and improve the quality of the criteria. To date, 99% of inter-village and alley roads have been asphalted or concreted, ensuring they are bright, green, clean, and beautiful; cultural facilities have been invested in and are well-equipped. The current economic growth rate is 9%; per capita income in 2021 reached 49 million VND/year; the poverty rate has decreased to 0.46%; 10 out of 10 hamlets have achieved the title of "Cultural Hamlet," and the rate of "Cultural Families" is over 97%. The commune's Party Committee has achieved the title of "exemplary, clean, and strong" for two consecutive years, and national defense and security are ensured.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu presented the Certificate of Recognition for achieving the "Advanced New Rural Area" standard in 2021 and donated a social welfare project worth 600 million VND to Nghi Lien commune; leaders of the Vinh City Party Committee and People's Committee also presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals who have achieved outstanding results in the movement to build advanced new rural communes.
