(Baonghean.vn) - After a long period of suspension due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vinh City will open a trial pedestrian street on Friday evening, April 1st, with a view to officially opening it as soon as possible.

This will be the first trial after a long period of suspension due to the pandemic.

During the trial run, the city will operate the lighting system, decorative lights, musical fountains, inspect business establishments, and organize some cultural and artistic programs... to serve residents and tourists.
Currently,Vinh City pedestrian streetThe main items have been basically completed, such as renovating the sidewalks of Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Van Cu streets, replacing trees, upgrading Nguyen Tai street and alley 2 of Nguyen Trung Ngan street, building an art flower garden, a musical fountain, installing a free wifi system, and installing decorative lighting systems...

The pilot program will help the city get an initial understanding of how the service is operating.pedestrian streetFrom there, reasonable operational plans will be developed. After the trial run, feedback from residents and tourists will be recorded and used to refine the pedestrian street, making it a highlight of Vinh's civilized and modern city in the future.
The city is currently rushing to complete the preparations. After the trial run, the city will seek guidance from the People's Committee of Nghe An province to officially launch the pedestrian street on April 8th.

Previously, Vinh City officially selected four streets to be designated as pedestrian zones, including: Ho Tung Mau Street (from Nai Bridge to the beginning of Nguyen Trung Ngan Street); Nguyen Van Cu Street (starting point intersecting with Ho Tung Mau Street, ending point intersecting with Le Hong Phong Street); Alley No. 2 on Nguyen Trung Ngan Street, ending point intersecting with Nguyen Van Cu Street and Nguyen Tai Street.
