(Baonghean.vn) - In preparation for the 9th National Phu Dong Sports Festival to be held in Nghe An, on the morning of October 25th, at Le Mao Primary School, Cluster 2 of Primary Schools in Vinh City held the opening ceremony of the Cluster-level Phu Dong Sports Festival.
Attending the opening ceremony were representatives from the Vinh City Department of Education and Training, representatives from the Board of Directors and teachers of primary schools in the cluster including: Le Mao, Vinh Tan, Cua Nam 2, Hung Dung 1, Hung Dung 2, Nghi An, Nghi Duc, along with 120 participating athletes.

The Phu Dong Sports Festival is an annual event organized to respond to the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh," fostering physical and mental training and striving for excellence among students, contributing to improving the effectiveness of cultural, sports, and arts education in schools. Through this, the aim is to discover, nurture, and train students with athletic talent to compete in various tournaments at different levels.

At the Phu Dong Sports Festival for Cluster 2 Primary Schools, 120 athletes will compete in four sports: football, table tennis, sepak takraw, and chess. With meticulous preparation in terms of facilities and equipment, the organizing unit, Le Mao Primary School, has left a very positive impression on the athletes, parents, spectators, and referees.
Following the opening ceremony, athletes in various sports competed wholeheartedly in a spirit of camaraderie and learning.
