Vinh City: Five individuals posthumously awarded the title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".
(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of July 18th, at the Vinh City Conference Center, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting.Vinh CityThe ceremony to posthumously award the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" was held.
Attending the posthumous award ceremony were Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; representatives of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Board; leaders of Vinh City, relevant departments and agencies, and relatives of the Mothers who were posthumously awarded the title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" on this occasion.

Throughout the wars, Vinh City has the honor of having 160 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, of which 44 were awarded the title in 1994 and 1995. From 2014 to the present, 116 Heroic Vietnamese Mothers have been honored, including 19 at the provincial level and 92 at the city level.

Expressing gratitude for the great sacrifices of the Mothers in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, on the occasion of the whole country actively launching the "Paying Gratitude" movements, leading up to the 69th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs, Vinh City organized a ceremony to posthumously award the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to 5 Mothers.

The posthumous awarding of this title reflects the national tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," and is a tribute and recognition by the nation and its people for the contributions of these mothers to the history of the Vietnamese nation.
Five Vietnamese Heroic Mothers were posthumously honored on this occasion: 1. Mother Ngo Thi Hoe (1911). Originally from Hung Dung ward, Vinh City. 2. Mother Bui Thi Thanh (1907). Original residence: Thanh Mai commune, Thanh Chuong district. 3. Mother Nguyen Thi A (1912). Original residence: Hung Xuan commune, Hung Nguyen district. 4. Mother Nguyen Thi Hoet (1910). Original residence: Thanh Truong commune, Thanh Chuong district. 5. Mother of Dang Thi Em (1902). Originally from Doi Cung Ward, Vinh City. |
