According to our reporter's observations, on August 10th, the workers carried out the following:scooping up dead fishat the bottom of the lake. After being removed, the dead fish were buried and sprinkled with lime to ensure environmental protection. By late afternoon of the same day, the lake had basically been cleared of the mass fish deaths.

According to a representative from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Vinh City, the cause of the mass fish deaths is due to the prolonged hot weather and high water temperatures, which caused the fish to suffer from heat shock and die. In addition, the water in the regulating lake is gradually becoming polluted due to some people indiscriminately dumping garbage into the lake.

Reportedly, in addition to collecting dead fish, Vinh Urban Infrastructure Management and Development Joint Stock Company has also instructed workers to drive stakes into the regulating lake to stretch nets, limiting garbage and aquatic plants from floating into the lake.
