Officially inaugurated in February 2026, Ly Thai To Park No. 1 impresses with its classic golden villa architecture, illuminated square, and meaningful memorial monument.

Ly Thai To Park No. 1 (No. 1 Ly Thai To Street, Vuon Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) is a newly inaugurated open public space, opened on February 12, 2026, just before the Lunar New Year of the Horse. With an area of 4.3 hectares and strategically located between three main roads – Ly Thai To, Hung Vuong, and Tran Binh Trong – it is not only a new green lung but also a destination rich in cultural and historical value.

Vintage architecture and 'million-like' photo spots.

A highlight that attracts young people to the park is the row of well-preserved old villas with their distinctive yellow color. The architecture here has a nostalgic style with soft arched windows and spacious balconies, creating an ideal backdrop for artistic photoshoots.

The staircase area in front of the villa is a popular spot for netizens to pose for photos. With just a traditional ao dai or vintage-style outfit, visitors can easily capture images that evoke the atmosphere of old Saigon, yet are still full of life.

The Water Drop Monument: A sacred memorial space

Located in the center of the park is a 1,800 m2 square with the highlight being the 6-meter-tall Water Droplet Monument. Crafted from mirrored stainless steel, the monument symbolizes the transformation of pain into positive energy, paying tribute to the victims who died during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Surrounding the monument are nine steps and 360 water candles. As night falls, the system of nearly 1,000 light points in the square, along with the water candles, creates a shimmering, magical, yet solemn atmosphere.

Community amenities and urban green spaces

The park retains its entire system of ancient trees, combined with vibrant spring flowerbeds such as chrysanthemums, sunflowers, and bougainvillea. In addition, the tennis court area has been renovated into a multi-purpose space for sports and cultural and artistic events for the city's residents.
