The Earth will sooner or later turn red like Mars.
Every minute, 180kg of hydrogen leaks into space and this process is said to have a deadly outcome for Earth.

Earth faces the prospect of one day turning as red as Mars. |
According to Daily Mail, this is an atmospheric leak phenomenon, described by astrophysicist Anjali Tripathi in a recent presentation.
The Earth's atmosphere, which includes oxygen, is the source of life for living things, making Earth different from the rest of the Solar System.
“The atmospheric leak is constant and enough to make you a little bit concerned,” Tripathi said. If enough hydrogen leaks out, Earth will turn into a red planet like Mars.
This phenomenon was detected by NASA using ultraviolet (UV) light. “The problem here is that the atmosphere is not only present on Earth, but is also escaping into space, at an alarming rate.”
But Earth is not the only planet that experiences this phenomenon, as it happens to all planets.

The light colored circle shows the loss of atmosphere to space. |
Mars is much smaller than Earth and has less gravity, so it cannot retain its atmosphere for as long as Earth. This explains why Mars has a distinctive red color.
The remaining oxygen and hydrogen on Mars create a red “rusty” color on the Martian surface.
