Village boy stabbed to death man who used foul language at wedding

While holding his cup to the village men's table to toast, Minh cursed too much so he was punished to drink more. During the fight, Minh was stabbed to death by Ky.

On June 30, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Court opened a mobile court, tried and sentenced Nguyen Dinh Ky (20 years old, residing in Thanh Tan commune, Thach Thanh district) to life in prison for murder.

The indictment stated that at about 5:00 p.m. on January 16, Mr. Do Van Minh (residing in Thanh Truc commune, Thach Thanh district) went to a wedding at Mr. Nguyen Van Hung's house in Thach Loi village, Thanh Tan commune.

During the party, Minh went to Ky's table to toast. There were also four other young men living in the same village of Thach Loi, Thanh Vinh commune. Minh used a lot of foul language so the whole table punished him by making him drink more wine.

A while later, due to drinking too much, there was a conflict between Mr. Minh and the young men of Thach Loi village. At this time, Mr. Minh continued to drink while the group of young men went outside.

Because of the cold weather, Ky went home (about 500 meters from the wedding) to put on more warm clothes and took a switchblade about 15 cm long, put it in his pocket, then returned to the wedding.

When he arrived at the cinema gate, the young man took out a switchblade and showed it off to his friends. Then, Ky went inside and waved for Minh to come out.

Seeing that, Mr. Minh went outside and held the phone for a long time, causing a fight with the group of village boys. Angry, Ky pulled out a knife, approached and stabbed Mr. Minh twice in the stomach, causing the victim to collapse on the spot.

Mr. Minh was taken to Thach Thanh District General Hospital for emergency treatment but did not survive.

A day later, Nguyen Dinh Ky went to the police station to surrender and confessed all his crimes.
