On July 21, Gia Lai Provincial Police said that Thong Nhat Ward Police, Pleiku City (Gia Lai) invited Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha (also known as Nga) to come in for questioning. However, at that time, Ms. Ha showed signs of being high on drugs. Test results showed that Ms. Ha had used drugs and was now being taken to the Gia Lai Provincial Drug Addiction Counseling and Rehabilitation Center for treatment.

Also through the police investigation, initially Ms. Ha admitted to beating and slashing Ms. Y Nhieu (born in 1995, residing in Peng Siel village, Dak Pet commune, Dak Glei district, Kon Tum).

Specifically, in 2014, Ms. Nhien went to Pleiku City, Gia Lai to work at Ms. Ha's coffee shop. During the work, Ms. Ha thought that Ms. Nhieu had an affair with her husband, so she often beat and tortured her.

This cruel owner also used an iron rod to beat her, used a hot iron to press on her left hand, sometimes used a hot iron rod to press on Nhieu's body. Whenever she "got excited", Mrs. Ha also used a razor blade to cut Nhieu's face, break her teeth, cut off her ears, etc. The victim said that due to being beaten so brutally, she had a miscarriage at 5 months old.

On July 9, Ms. Nhieu was beaten unconscious by Ms. Ha and left on the side of the road. People saw her and took her to Kon Tum Provincial General Hospital, then transferred to Dak Glei District Medical Center for treatment.

According to a representative of Pleiku City Police, the case is still under investigation and the injury certificate has been obtained for further handling.
