This is the story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Kien Giang, a woman suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease), who, along with her husband, overcame adversity to build a modern home and spread positive inspiration for life.

Overcoming the limitations of osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease), Ms. Nguyen Thi Kien Giang (35 years old, from Hue) has proven that physical disability is not a barrier to happiness and success. Having been confined to a wheelchair since childhood, Ms. Giang has traveled a long journey from the ancient capital to Ho Chi Minh City for her studies, before moving to Hanoi to build a family with her partner, who shares the same condition.

A relationship forged through understanding and empathy.

The encounter between Ms. Giang and Mr. Dao Duy Cuong began on an online forum for people with disabilities. Sharing similar circumstances and optimism, they spent a year chatting before Mr. Cuong decided to travel to Hue to meet her. With sincerity, he convinced Ms. Giang with a promise to overcome life's difficulties together.

In 2017, the couple's wedding took place amidst the emotional presence of family and friends as both the bride and groom walked down the aisle in wheelchairs. After getting married, Ms. Giang decided to leave her hometown to start a new life with her husband in Hanoi. Through tireless efforts in online sales, the small family soon settled down, owned their own apartment, and welcomed a new member, baby Tin, a year later.

Using technology to take control of your life.

To adapt to the inconveniences of daily life, Ms. Giang and her husband have proactively applied technology to their lives. Devices such as electric wheelchairs, robotic vacuum cleaners, and online business platforms have become invaluable assistants, helping them become independent in both their work and in caring for their home.

Beyond achieving financial stability, Ms. Giang has also become a social media content creator. Videos documenting the mother with brittle bone disease teaching her children, cooking, or shopping have attracted millions of views on TikTok. Through these videos, she conveys a message about the proactive and useful role of people with disabilities in modern society.

A foundation of knowledge built on family investment.

Few people know that Giang's thirst for knowledge was nurtured from a very young age. From the eighth grade, her father bought her a computer with internet access, believing that the digital world would bridge the gap for his daughter. This foundation of knowledge and connectivity helped her confidently pursue university studies and make crucial life-changing decisions.
